T H E S P I R I T O F W O R K

The spirit of work is an European network project.

It investigates concepts like work, leisure, hobbies, paid labor, activity, laziness and creation. It attempts to reevaluate these concepts and relate them to one another

The project has an artistic approach to these issues and sets out, to relate contributions from science, politics, art and economy in a new way.

With the help of artistic intervention in institutional, economical and municipal fields, the project develops ways of co-operation, fostering an amplification of competences.

By insisting on an artistic approach, a discursive field gets opened, avoiding criteria like efficient or scientific.

The Spirit of Work consists of exhibitions and interventions in public space, enterprises, galleries, museums, job offices and other relevant spaces for the project.
