Die demographische Pyramide steht Kopf. Die Generation Golf treibt unaufhaltsam auf die 50+ zu. Die Gerontokraten sitzen in den Startlöchern. Was tun wir also mit den Alten? Nutzen? Recyceln? Entsorgen? - die Politik scheint uns keine Antwort geben zu können.
Bei Johannes Spehr werden tote Manager einem Renaturierungsprozeß unterzogen und dem Nahrungskreislauf wieder zugeführt. War da was? Ist ein Recycling der Rentner doch möglich? Soilent Green? Vielleicht sind aber doch die Jungen die alten Meister, wie in Jill Millers cooler Überarbeitung des John Baldassari-Videos "I am making art" jetzt "I am making art too". Oder sind wir den Alten eine Hommage schuldig, wie Colonel, der kurzerhand die Unikat-Plakate eines Christian BoltanskiˆProjektes im Stadtraum von Kopenhagen einsammelt, um sie dem gebührenden Rahmen des Kunstkontextes wieder zuzuführen? Daß es den Rentnern auch zukünftig nicht an Spaß fehlen muß zeigt Baldur Burwitz, der die Protagonisten mit einem Looping durch die Luft schweben läßt. Thyssen-KruppTreppenlifte macht es möglich. Und Henrik Schrats lebensgroße Pension Fighters‚ lassen uns im unklaren, ob wir es mit pensionierten Kriegern zu tun haben, oder für die Pension zur Waffe gegriffen wird: Wer noch einmal Nullrunde sagt, hat ein Loch im Kopf.
Die Ausstellung ist sozial, politisch, zynisch, engagiert und legt den Finger auf Wunden, die noch gar nicht da sind, aber schon kräftig wehtun. Und sie ist unterhaltsam.

Or do we owe the old ones more respect, like Colonel, who without further ado collected the unicum posters of a Christian Boltanski project, mounted in Copenhagen. He now recirculates them into the befitting framework of the art and gallery context.
That pensioners are going to have fun in the future is Baldur Burwitz demonstrating, who lets the protagonists hoover through the air in a looping. ThyssenKrupp stair lift make it possible!
And Henrik Schrat's life size ‚Pension fighters' leave it open, if we are dealing with retired warriors or elderly who reached for guns to fight for their pensions.
The exhibitions is social and political engaged, cynical and touches a sore spot. The spot is not yet there, but does already hurt a lot... And the show is: Entertainig!
